Welcome to the USS Chimera-D!

Welcome to the website of the USS Chimera NCC 96899-D, a Play-By-E-Mail (PBeM) RPG based on Star Trek, created by Gene Roddenberry. The Chimera is the third ship of the Excalibur Class line of vessels and the fifth to bear the name Chimera. The simulation is based twenty years after Star Trek: Nemesis in the early 25th Century, and is under the command of Captain Rick Rodgers (Butch) and acting executive officer Lieutenant Commander Harris Farthing (Roy). The Chimera was formally the flagship of Starfleet Special Forces' (SSF) 1st Task Force and will be serving her new role, exploring the Triangulum Galaxy.

Combining state of the art technology with one of the finest crews in Starfleet, the Chimera serves to boldly go where no one has gone before.

The simulation is a member of the UCIP Simming Group's Independent Simming Division (ISD). The UCIP is a sim organisation hosting a variety of simming genres, specialising in Star Trek sims. For over ten years UCIP has provided Star Trek fans with fun and enjoyable simulations. More than just a simming group, the UCIP offers its members access to such features as the UCIP Database, the UCIP Academy and a strong online IRC presence.

To one and all.
I was going to have a sim report by now, but during the course of the past couple of days, I came up with this really nasty fever induced by this hacking cough-cold thing. I hope it will go away by Tuesday, but I'm feeling like crapola at this time. I'm forcing myself to type this.
I will also be sending out an awards j/l in the next day.
I would like to know who all is still with us since the Christmas/Holiday break. I know our Southern Hemisphere simmers are enjoying summer now, so that may affect some.

» Sim Report ... Not Really

Hello Chimerites,
I hope everyone had a good holiday and wish you all an even better new year.
Because of how slow the final week of 2011 was, there will be no sim report this week.
In addition, the sim reports will become a biweekly thing now (once every two weeks) until further notice.
Also, I want to thank those that did post this past week. I know how hectic that week between Christmas and New Years can be. So, again, thanks.
We will be wrapping up the current plot in the next couple of weeks.

Hidey ho, everybody. I sure hope everyone had, or is still having a good holiday season.

This will be the last sim report that I will be doing ................... for 2011.

Considering it was Christmas week, we had a few logs posted, so good job folks. This helped move the plot along and kept us on my schedule of getting said plot done by the end of the first week of the new year. I expect this week to be even slower.

Now on to the shortened holiday edition of the sim report.

2.) PROMOTIONS, AWARDS, NEW CREWMEMBERS AND STUFF LIKE THAT

3.) SHIP'S STATUS

GREEN ALERT: The Chimera is in orbit above Actaeon IV. Away team on planet's surface after crash landing searching for survivors.

4.) MISSION ASSIGNMENTS

AWAY TEAM: Get the survivors on board by end of the week (Sunday). We want to wrap up this part by New Years.

EVERYONE ELSE: Write some personal logs or some joint logs if you have the time. If not, then enjoy another holiday week.

5.) MISSION SUMMARY

In their search of any Heyerdahl survivors, the away team was attacked by the natives in large numbers. Thankfully, a number of survivors came to help the away team. This begs the question, who's rescuing who?

On the Chimera, Ensign Aleri and Doctor Ohmsford make an important discovery inside the Heyerdahl wreckage, foreign materials not a part of the Heyerdahl.

In sickbay, Doctor Jacobs talks for a short time with Ensign Susie Vega, one of the Heyerdahl survivors discovered earlier by the away team. Susie answers some questions about their ordeal on the planet and what may have happened to the Heyerdahl, though in her state of mind, she is not a hundred percent clear on the latter.
